MOXON ARCHITECTS AND THE ROYAL FOUNTAINS

The ‘next generation of drinking fountains’ in London’s eight Royal Parks was revealed to the public this spring.

Moxon Architect’s bronze fountain won the international contest sponsored by the Tiffany & Co. Foundation and  Castle Fine Arts Foundry were proud to cast their design.

It was a challenging project due to the exceptionally high degree of finish, the exacting design and the internal fittings. Several copies can now be found around Hyde Park.

The Tiffany & Co. Foundation launched the contest which was part of a wider £1 million project to restore the Royal Parks’ historic drinking fountains which began in 2010, championed by London Mayor Boris Johnson.

Moxon Architects which was established in 2004 has an overriding ambition is to bring architectural intelligence to bear on as wide a range of projects as possible. To this end the practice actively pursues work in markedly different fields – encouraging a restless, inquisitive and exploratory design process in all the practice’s projects.
